Save Naval Base Shacks

The City of Cockburn is currently reviewing the Naval Base Shacks Site.

Originally it was indicated that the shacks would need to be removed and the site would become either a Caravan Park or be returned to Bush Forever. (Which was obviously devastating news for Shack Owners who feel very strongly about maintaining the site and feel that it has significant historical value as well as being an ideal holiday destination)

However the Naval Base Holiday Association has been working with Council to develop a way forward that enables the shacks to remain, whilst addressing any issues that the City of Cockburn have.

A Community reference group has been set up and includes a number of very passionate shack owners who are focused on developing a management plan for the site.

However we still need your help.
